Jason Sudeikis and Brandan Hunt return to the pitch in Apple TV’s hit sports dramedy

Ted Lasso Season 3 is the third season of the critically acclaimed sports comedy-drama series on Apple TV+. The programme is created by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly. Sudeikis and Hunt also star as Ted Lasso and Coach Beard, respectively. Season 3 sees the whole team return to the pitch, with Brett Goldstein as the surly retired footballer Roy Kent, Hannah Waddingham as Richmond’s fierce manager Rebecca, Juno Temple as the bubbly Keeley, Phil Dunster as Jamie Tartt, Toheeb Jimoh as Sam Obisanya, and Jeremy Swift as the lovable Higgins. The series focuses on Ted Lasso, a former American football coach who pivots to coaching the lagging Richmond football team in the UK — all while knowing nothing about football. Ted’s boundless positivity and faith in the goodness of humanity transform the team and management, creating a tight-knit community that has each other’s backs — and wins games. But there are also those who wish to see Ted and the team fail, and Ted himself has his own struggles with anxiety and heartbreak to face.
